Peru fantastic 7 days offered by Nig Adventures is designed for each interested and can be organized in a personalized way according to your tastes, interests and needs. this is our way of working, which aims to create unique packages in Cusco-Peru.

If you have limited time in Peru this itinerary is great for you.  You will get to see the great highlights of the country of the Inkas  – a touch of Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and most importantly, one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

ITINERARY – Peru Fantastic

Night 1: Welcome to Lima

  • Our Nig Adventures representative will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

Day 1: Lima City Tour

First of all you will enjoy breakfast at your hotel and a free morning in the city on your own. In the second place at 2PM we will begin your City Tour in Lima, known as “The City of Kings”. This excursion offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Contemporary. In Lima, there were several different Pre-Columbian cultures which date thousands of years back. The area of Lima was part of the Inca Empire until the city was founded by the Spaniard Francisco Pizarro on the 18th of January, 1535. During our guided tour we will travel along its millenary history. at last we will return to hotel.

** This tour can be done at 9AM if you prefer, with a free afternoon. Please let us know your preference.

Day 2: Cusco

At the beginning we will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you back to the airport for your flight to Cusco. We will meet you at the airport in Cusco, welcome you to the city, and take you to hotel. During the afternoon you will have a free time today to explore the city.

** If you would like, we can add a city tour where you will visit Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo and PucaPucara – Tambomachay. This tour starts at 1.00 pm and ends back at your hotel at 6.30 pm.

Day 3: Sacred Valley

Peru fantastic begins in the following way, today is a full day tour around the Sacred Valley. We will pick you up from your hotel at 8AM and drive to the Sacred Valley visiting Awanacancha (an alpaca farm and weaving center), Pisaq Ruins, Pisaq Market and Ollantaytambo. The Sacred Valley is a really beautiful area that was overtaken by the Incas to build their villages and thousands of agricultural terraces. At 7:00PM you will catch the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the town located right at the foot of Machu Picchu, where you will stay for the night at the hotel.

Day 4: Machu Picchu

The fourth day begins after an early wake up and breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby (usually around 5:20 AM unless you don’t wish to depart this early) and head over to the bus line to make your way up to Machu Picchu. The bus takes 25 minutes. Your guide will walk around with you for 2 hours explaining Inca culture, history and why their architecture is so special. After you will have plenty of time to explore on your own and if you have tickets to climb Huayna Picchu mountain, your guide will show you where this hike beginsn. (Huayna Picchu climb requires a ticket that costs $25 per person and needs to be booked in advance).

When you are ready to leave the Machu Picchu complex, you will take a bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Your train will depart Aguas Calientes at 2:55 PM and you will arrive to Ollantaytambo around 5PM. Finally you will have a free evening to enjoy Ollantaytambo.

Day 5: Maras – Moray

We will pick you up at 8.00AM from your hotel in your private transportation and take you to visit the Salineras of Maras, a huge salt mine which was used in the pre-colonial times. You will be able to see more than 3000 evaporation chambers/salt pools which they still use to process the salt and provide for the entire Cusco region. Once you are done with Maras, you will visit Moray Inca ruins and the amazing Inca Laboratory filled with so many terraces. This is where they learned about the different microclimates of the region, as from the bottom to the top the temperature varies and they developed many different strains of produce here.

Later on you will visit Chincheros and get to visit an amazing textile center with alpaca and llama-wool handmade textiles and they will show you how they weave them. This town also offers some amazing Inca ruins that were used to farm different types of potatoes. You will end the tour with a visit to a Catholic church which was built on top of the Palace of the Incas. You will be driven back to Cusco and transferred back to Hotel.

Day 6: Free Day in Cusco

Today will be a free day in Cusco with the option of a Half Day City Tour, if you didn’t take one in the beginning of your trip. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 7: Goodbye

This is the end of Peru fantastic 7 days tour because today we will transfer you back to the airport for your flight to Lima and say good-bye to Peru.

Important Notes Before Booking:

1. Cusco City tour can be added on as an option either on the free day as a private tour or group tour.

2. All group tours on this package are done with a trusted third party, not through Nig Adventures.  The group tours in this package are also available as a private tour with all Nig Adventures guides (additional cost).  The tour of Machu Picchu is always with a private Nig Adventures guide as well as your private Maras Moray tour.

3. All trains are Tourist Expedition Train. If you want to upgrade to Vista dome train $65 per person, one way or $100 round trip.

When choosing this itinerary, we will ask you to let us know which class of hotels you are interested in.  The prices below reflect the hotel you choose.

For packages including 3-star hotels:

SINGLE TRAVELLER (With Single Rooms): $1345 per person

TRAVELLERS WITH 2 OR MORE (with sharing double, matrimonial or triple rooms): $995 per person

 

For packages including 4 and 5-star hotels:

SINGLE TRAVELLER (With Single Rooms): $2800 per person

TRAVELLERS WITH 2 OR MORE (with sharing double, matrimonial or triple rooms): $1750 per person

1. All trains are Tourist Expedition Train. If you want to upgrade to a Vista dome train it is $65 per person, one way and $100 roundtrip.

2. If you wish to hike Huayna Picchu after your tour of Machu Picchu it will be $25 per person (subject to availability).

Discounts:

$25 discount for all children under 12 or those with a valid ISIC card.
